I grew up within a rich world of imaginary stories and classic tales. My own children then benefitted from a plethora of books and a family tradition of storytelling. I discovered my three young children were eager for bedtime so I had a willing captive audience.
Working in Early Years Settings for over 20 years, I had many opportunities to share my stories and in one particular nursery my ‘Witchetty Witch’ tales were a firm favourite. This is where Grumpy Rosetta was created and brought to life.
Children’s mental health is so important to their development. Working in a Special Educational Needs department has taught me that acceptance and self-esteem are paramount for childrens' wellbeing. As well as (I hope) an enjoyable read, I have introduced some conversational and inter-active opportunities throughout ithe Grumpy Rosetta stories. I look forward to sharing Grumpy Rosetta’s next exciting adventure with you!
'Graduating from Loughborough University in 2015, I am a multidisciplinary Illustrator and Graphic Designer who specialises in watercolour techniques, yet also taps into freehand digital drawing, painting with acrylics, writing, and performing arts.
I was raised on a cattle farm in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside and spends any time that I am not painting by helping out with my family’s business. In my spare moments, I take to the canvas. I take on commissions, and design an array of characters to further enhance my skills as an artist.

It wasn’t until 2023 that I went on to volunteer in Spain at a Horse sanctuary that taught science-based, force-free training. It was there among the rolling mountains of Andalucia that I was spurred to pursue a future in narrative illustration.'
Design and Photography have always been a passion of mine since I was a young, my dad had a film camera which first got me interested in the subject and have been glued to a camera ever since.​
After graduating from the university of Portsmouth in Interior Architecture and Design in 2015 I have worked in a range of different design disciplines; retail design, commercial design, Residential design, interior architecture and graphic design, to name a few.

I realised I wanted to share my passions which led me to developing myself as a Country, Equine, Canine & lifestyle photographer as well as working as a freelance designer across architecture and graphic design.
Being a country girl at heart, growing up on a farm, spending time with my dogs in the fields and being surrounded by animals fills me with inspiration and creativity.
